Osteological Faunal Collection

Donated to the Houston Archeological Society by Bill McClure

If you wish to use the bones or any specimens in the collection for research or comparative purposes, please check the lab page for lab hours, or email to arrange access at other times. The collection is located in the Archaeology Lab at Rice University (103 Sewell Hall). Many resources were used for the organization of this collection. If you would like to know more about faunal collections or Texas fauna, many available resources have been listed. A short paper was prepared providing advice on the future of the collection, and detailing what was done at the time of the last inventory.

To use this inventory of the collection click on the following links to find out if the collection has specimens appropriate to your interest.
