Our Next Meeting
TAS Member Craig Mayer will share information with us on some Maya sites are are off the beaten (tourist) path.

On the Move
- Perhaps you've heard - the City of Houston is facing tough financial times. Which means we've lost our meeting place at the Clayton Library. The University of St. Thomas has, however, welcomed our return. HAS now meets in Robertson Hall (next door to Anderson Hall), at the usual day and time.
Volunteer for Bernardo Track and Field Days
- Work at Bernardo continues this weekend (Aug. 14 and 15). Charlie needs 10 to 15 volunteers each day. The scope of the field work will be to place test units around the main plantation house in an effort to locate and expose evidence of the Bachelor Quarters, the kitchen, and the dairy. We will also continue the set-up of the on-site lab so that we can keep current with the cataloging of artifacts as they come in from the field. To volunteer contact Charlie.
